Mr. Parsley and his Cucumber Tongue!

Have a fun snack time, and let your creativity run wild. Making snack time into an activity can help to create an atmosphere where your child will engage in trying new fruits and vegetables. And you’ll get a work of art to show for it!
It’s nice to assemble the recipes together with your children, but ensure a safe environment. For example, chopping and cooking may not be possible for younger children, but assembly can be done by all!
Ingredients
-
1piece of bread
-
a littlespread of your choice
-
approx. 1/4cucumber
-
1piece of pepper
-
2hazelnuts
-
1 handfulparsley
-
1mini pepper (optional)
-
2slices of cheese
How to create it
- If you don’t have the free Vegemi app yet, download it from your phone’s app store.
- Butter a piece of bread, and cut two slices of cheese to fit.
- Use the Vegemi app to identify cucumber and pepper. Watch as Vegemi gains fun superpowers!
- Cut two round slices from the cucumber and overlap the slices to create the eyes. Cut a long slice of cucumber to create the tongue. Halve the end of the cucumber to create the ears and cut a small triangular piece for the nose.
- Create hair on the bread out of parsley, and eyes out of hazelnuts.
- Cute a circle of pepper for the lips, and add a mini/chilli pepper to the tongue for fun, if you want!
- Enjoy the snack together, and encourage your children to feed their own ‘Vegemi’ with the yummy vegetables!
